Rising Sun Development Center’s community development work is rooted in a local-to-global approach that recognizes the interconnected nature of health, equity, and community resilience. Locally, Rising Sun partners with neighborhood organizations, families, and grassroots leaders to strengthen public health infrastructure, support youth and family stability, advance food sovereignty, and build community-driven solutions tailored to the lived realities of underserved communities. Nationally, the organization engages in policy-informed research, technical assistance, and cross-sector partnerships that elevate community voices, inform systems change, and scale effective models in areas such as family well-being, co-parenting, fatherhood engagement, and community health development.
