Gangsters to Growers
The Rising Sun Development Center (RSDC) partnered with Gangsters to Growers to enhance a workforce development initiative serving young adults ages 17–25. RSDC’s role focused on strengthening program outcomes through employable skills training, cooperative business education, and hands-on learning experiences designed to support career readiness and economic participation.
Through structured instruction and applied learning, participants developed transferable workplace skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and responsibility. RSDC also introduced cooperative development concepts, providing exposure to collaborative economic models and practical business foundations that support long-term stability and self-directed career pathways.
